Of course, a great deal reaches our minds through books, lectures, experiences, and the examples set by others; yet for me personally, words of wisdom often resonate most deeply when conveyed through music. Music has a magical way of affecting us\u2014without the melody and rhythm, those same words might never take root so deeply in the soul.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Just recently, I heard Baz Luhrmann\u2019s track &#8220;Everybody\u2019s Free (To Wear Sunscreen).&#8221; It\u2019s not your typical dance hit, though it certainly makes you want to dance. In fact, the track makes you want to do more than just dance\u2014it makes you want to *Live*\u2014with a capital L! To make mistakes, to try new things, and to explore.   <\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wa.me\/380974466363\" class=\"nk-btn\">\u041d\u0430\u043f\u0438\u0441\u0430\u0442\u044c \u0432 WhatsApp<\/a>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Both as a psychotherapist and as a person, I see the same picture: people are afraid to be free. Within each of us, there are so many prohibitions, limitations, and fears. We say &#8220;no&#8221; to ourselves more often than we say &#8220;yes&#8221; to life. We often go to a therapist simply to be given permission to be ourselves\u2014to be free and spontaneous.    <\/p>\n\n<p>I simply wanted to share this track with you, hoping it might inspire you just as it has inspired me. Meditation is trending right now; scientists say it helps lower stress levels and replenish our inner resources. I would add that meditating to Baz Luhrmann\u2019s &#8220;Everybody\u2019s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)&#8221; offers something more: inspiration. Not motivation\u2014inspiration. We often confuse the two, forcing ourselves to push forward toward goals we\u2019ve concocted. Yet, we move forward not because of goals, but because of a precious fuel within us.
